Repair Shop

Note! We do not fix your bike for you. But while our volunteers work only on our
donated bikes, there's always a friendly Head Mechanic on hand to guide you if needed.
Occasionally last minute emergencies have prevented the shop from being open during its
normal hours of operation. We do our best to prevent such things but sometimes it
can't be helped. Please forgive us if you should experience such an event.

Shop Rates

|
$5.00 per hour buys you a shop of tools and advice on how to maintain and repair bicycles.
Used parts cost extra if needed but the fee includes special bike tools, oil and grease. |

Free
|
|
Free shop use is available for those who have put in volunteer time. One
hour of shop time is given for each hour of volunteering. Sorry but this deal
doesn't apply to secondary school students who are fulfilling their 40 hour
community service requirement at RECYCLORE. Students can, however get free shop
time outside of the school program like everyone else.

Helpful hints for working in the shop:
- Safety First at all times - bring safety glasses or borrow from our spares
- Dress appropriately - you will get dirty, even with the loaner shop coats
- Drop in during our open hours - first come, first served
- Don't bring your own tools - this avoids lots of confusion
- Ask if you're in doubt about correct tool use - to avoid tool and bike damage
